Bug
Bites Got You Itching?
By
using common items from your kitchen or medicine chest
you can stop the itching.
- Baking
soda: Make a paste by mixing one teaspoon of it in your
hand with a little water. Apply it to the bite to neutralize
the acidic insect venom.
- Hot
sauce: Don't get it in your eyes! Put a few drops on the
bite and you'll soon stop thinking about the bite. You'll
be thinking about this new irritation!
- Milk:
soothes the skin and may act as an anti-inflammatory.
- Toothpaste:
Rub a tiny dab over the bite to cool and distract you from
the itching.
- Aspirin:
Controls inflammation. Wet your skin and rub an aspirin
tablet over the bite. Make certain you are not allergic
to aspirin before you use this bite remedy.
- Vicks
VapoRub: The menthol in it deadens nerve endings.
Remedies

August 2003.
