WHAT DO I LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING A MOM?
Heather from Largo
Watching my children interact with each other and love each other is such a great reward. I thrive on just watching my children interact with the world around them and to see the joy and excitement in their beautiful faces. I enjoy seeing them upon waking every morning and tucking them in every night. Every day with them is a cherished gift and I thank God every day for being able to enjoy each and every day with them. They are just amazing and they become more and more amazing with each passing day. I am so thankful to be a Mommy and I love every minute - good and bad. I would not have life any other way!

I absolutely love being a mom. When they look into your eyes and say, "I love you mommy" or "I want to be just like you" or"NNNOOOOOOOOOO, I don't want a nap!" I know that I am doing my part to raise a wonderful, caring, and responsible human being....Whom I love to the ends of the earth, even when he is playing with the knob on the public toilet door while I hover over the seat. It is just then that I thank my mom for so many sacrifices she made for me. She still puts herself last when she gets a chance. "I love you mom! Thanks for teaching me true love so that I may pass it on to my son." What an amazingly important thing. The next generation of human compassion and love is in the making thanks to a world of moms giving their children the amazing gift of a mother's love.

What's not to love about being a mom? Sure, it's like a daily roller coaster, and they keep me on my toes, but the rewards I get in return so much outweigh anything else that I truly do love it. From when my soon to be 4 year old comes up to me out of the blue and says "I love you mommy" to when the 20 month old gets a great big smile on her face, a gleam in her eye and makes a mad dash across the room just to give you a hug, you just have to smile, laugh and forget about the little things that get to you. I get a free pass to be a kid again (sometimes) and look at the world through their eyes. Things that I have taken for granted are exciting to them and that excitement is contagious. The list is endless as to what I love about being a mom. I do have a whole new respect for my mom now that I am one! |
